Would you like to work at Zuyd and do you have foreign nationality? If so, there are a number of things you need to take into account if you want to live and work in the Netherlands.
Depending on your situation, specific conditions may apply, for example in the areas of residence permits, taxes, health insurance and social security. It is important to be well prepared.
If you have Dutch nationality or the nationality of another EEA country or Switzerland, you are permitted to work and reside in the Netherlands. No residence or work permit is required.
If you are a national of a country outside the EU/EEA, you must have a valid residence and work permit.
You must always have a Citizen Service Number (BSN) when you come to work in the Netherlands. If you do not have a BSN, you can make an appointment online to apply for one via the website of the municipality of Heerlen.
